Lauren Bergendahl

My Name is Lauren Bergendahl, and I am honored to be your 2026 Newport Rodeo Queen!

Let me share a little about me and my horse. I am a 2023 graduate, and was a member of the National Honor Society, choir, band, and theater programs. A fun fact about me is that I can play 7 instruments, and the first belt buckle I ever won was for cow riding back in 2018.

I grew up competing in Jr. rodeo, Western and English dressage, show jumping, cross country jumping, eventing, ranch horse, reining, and sorting. I was a member of 4-H and Pony Club for 11 years, where I traveled to championships nationally for several years. I was also a member of the NBHA, JK Jr. rodeo team, and the Washington State High School Equestrian Team (WASHET). While in WASHET I was blessed to meet my amazing horse EZ Montana, also known as Ruby. I was lucky enough to purchase Ruby in 2022, and we have been a great team ever since. Ruby is a 15-year-old registered Quarter Horse. She loves to work cows and perform in front of crowds. Her favorite things are horse cookies, goats, and little kids.

I’m excited to see where my year as the 2026 Miss Newport Rodeo takes me. Come along with me as I ride down this rodeo trail by following us on social media.

I look forward to seeing everyone at our amazing rodeo on June 25th-27th, and at the Roughstock Rodeo on August 1st.

I will be making many community appearances in hopes of meeting as many rodeo fans as possible.
